Senior Risk & Compliance Data Analyst

The Senior Risk and Compliance Data Analyst performs analytic and technical duties to enhance Risk Management & Compliance’s data analytics program and to support ad hoc projects throughout the department. This position is primarily responsible for creating and maintaining continuous analytics to enhance risk and compliance monitoring, and maintaining the infrastructure required for RMC’s data analytics projects. This position will also assist and support ad hoc projects designed to enhance processes for each sub-unit within RMC. The Senior Risk and Compliance Data Analyst reports to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Leads development and maintenance of data analytics to support continuous monitoring of risk and compliance
• Manages and maintains the department's data library, analytics library, dashboards, and analytics tools
• Assists the various RMC units in special projects and assignments, as assigned
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

Three years of related experience. A postsecondary degree may be used as an alternative for years of direct experience.

Preferences:

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in management information systems, finance, mathematics, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related field
• Experience in SQL or Other programming languages and data visualization tools
• Experience in risk management, auditing and/or developing, implementing, and evaluating internal controls

• Advanced computer literacy (with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, database applications and reporting) and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with internal staff across all levels of the SBA and external organizations, maintain rapport and build trust
• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and demonstrate flexibility necessitated by changing priorities
• Ability to monitor and maintain quality control standards
• Ability to conduct research, compile data, and present results in an effective manner
• Ability to solve complex problems, primarily related to large data sets and related queries and calculations
