Position title: Senior Human Resources Analyst
Annual Salary Range: $104,308 - $139,079
Non-exempt / Non-Union Represented
This position allows for up to four days of remote work per week. This position can be based in either our San Francisco or Los Angeles offices and may require periodic travel between the offices.
The Office of Human Resources is seeking a Senior Human Resources Analyst to oversee and administer the State Bar’s leave of absence program in accordance with all relevant State and Federal laws; advise managers, supervisors, and employees, on leave and disability matters; and monitor, analyze and recommend compliance actions for new and evolving leave management requirements.
The Senior Human Resources Analyst must be an analytical problem-solver who can effectively interpret and assimilate legislation and policies into sound guidance on complex disability and leave management issues. The incumbent will function as an "expert" in leave management and disability to State Bar Offices and other Human Resources team members. Competitive candidates will possess strong working knowledge of current disability and leave laws and best practices including but not limited to: the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the California Family Rights Act (CFRA), Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL), Military Leave, Workers' Compensation, and Reasonable Accommodations.
An incumbent in the Senior Human Resources Analyst role will be expected to perform specialized and/or complex duties in a highly independent manner. In addition to overseeing the leave administration process and serving as the State Bar’s workers’ compensation administrator, the Senior Human Resources Analyst may also assist with reasonable accommodations and other employee relation matters as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a field that develops skills related to essential duties, or equivalent academic achievement.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience and knowledge dealing with employee leave laws; disability laws; employee relations and benefits administration techniques.
