What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Banker position at State Bank?
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Drives banking center performance results through strong individual sales performance. Develops and maintains long-term customer relationships through sales of deposits, loans, and other applicable products and services. Supports the daily operations of the banking center while providing superior customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provides guidance and participates in daily operational and sales activities to achieve customer service and business growth objectives
2. Provides excellent customer service and adheres to State Bank Customer Service Standards.
3. Leads the conversion of service requests to sales
4. Builds camaraderie among the team to help deliver on service and sales goals
5. Drives sales through consistent profiling, cross-selling, and follow-up activities. Meets individual established goals.
6. Focuses on key behaviors that result in quality new accounts that are relationship-based with deep cross-sell opportunities.
7. Knowledgeable of consumer loan products and takes credit applications and presents recommendations.
8. Processes customer transactions accurately and in compliance with current policies, procedures, and guidelines.
9. Exhibits excellent judgment in handling confidential information.
10. Follows all regulatory, security, and audit requirements.
11. Ensures that proper cash control and audit procedures are being adhered to.
12. Participates in bank-wide referral program.
13. Participates in bank-wide training program.
14. Will open consumer and business accounts
15. Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school education or GED required, with some college preferred. Prior customer service background required. Previous computer experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, and other computer applications. Previous cash handling experience preferred.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Good customer relations skills – courteous and helpful. Flexibility with work schedule-a work day may be 7:30 am-6:30 pm. Ability to work as a team member. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to learn about products and services to make qualified referrals. Strong mathematical skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and make decisions about customer transactions while keeping in mind the customer’s needs and bank risk. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Possess strong communication skills as well as organizational abilities. Willingness to adapt to change. Exhibits excellent judgment in handling confidential information.
