This is a full-time, on-site role based in Phoenix, AZ for a Managing Editor. The Managing Editor will oversee the editorial team, ensuring the production of high-quality content aligned with the organization's mission. Daily tasks include managing editorial workflows, assigning and editing articles, maintaining publishing schedules, and upholding journalistic standards. The role also involves collaborating with writers, providing constructive feedback, and driving editorial strategies to reach target audiences effectively.
- Expertise in Writing, Editing, and Proofreading to produce and refine compelling, accurate, and impactful content.
- Leadership and team management skills, including mentoring writers and overseeing editorial workflows.
- Strategic planning and Content Strategy experience to drive cohesive editorial output and audience engagement.
- Strong Research skills to ensure factual accuracy and in-depth reporting.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication capabilities.
- Proficiency with digital publishing tools and familiarity with content management systems.
- Commitment to journalistic ethics, accuracy, and maintaining high editorial standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
