AREA COORDINATOR – STARTING POINT DANCE
Greenville, NC | Immediate Opening | Year-Round Position
Teach Children to Love Dance Through Excellence
Starting Point Dance is seeking an Area Coordinator with a strong background in classical dance education. We are looking for someone who truly loves dance as an art form and is passionate about sharing proper technique with children.
Schedule
- Immediate opening
- Year-round employment
- Summer Camp transitions directly into our After School Program
- Approximately 30–40 hours weekly
- Typical shifts are 7–8 hours
- Hours between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- Occasional extended shifts based on programming
Compensation
- $13.00–$25.00 per hour
- Paid training
Monthly Bonus Opportunities

Responsibilities
- Teach dance curriculum.
- Inspire confidence and discipline.
- Build strong relationships with students and parents.
- Transport children in company passenger vans.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness.
- Assist with field trips.
- Support enrollment retention.
- Complete assigned administrative responsibilities.
Dance Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Strong ballet foundation.
- Excellent understanding of dance technique.
- Knowledge of classical dance training.
- Passion for dance education.
- Ability to teach proper technique with encouragement and positivity.
This position is not intended for applicants whose experience is limited to recreational or competition dance without a strong foundation in classical technique.

Training
Six-week probationary period with no scheduled days off during training.
