The Mental Health Therapist will have face-to-face contact to develop strategies intended to achieve the measurable outcomes contained in the treatment plan. The Therapist will also identify personal criteria and define alternatives for opportunities in the living, learning, working, and socializing environments. The Therapist will be experienced in the treatment of adolescents with serious emotional disturbances and treating dually diagnosed recipients.

Essential Functions
- Ensure all mental health services are consistently delivered in a timely, efficient and professional manner. Assist in the coordination and facilitation of group services and provide weekly individual services for adolescents.
- Conduct assessment services, create treatment plans, perform individual, family and group psychotherapy.
- Provide a range of treatment, support services, and crisis intervention.
- Maintains accurate and confidential patient records.
- Refers to other clinic disciplines when appropriate.
- Meets periodically with other staff to obtain feedback necessary for case management and treatment planning.
- Provide evidence-based behavioral health models with well-researched outcome measures.
- Provide needed assistance in de-escalation of crises.
- Coordinate and participate in ongoing Mental Health Clinic education, training developmental activities.
- Any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Licensed Masters of Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), and/or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Two (2) years of post-master’s degree experience in the emotional/behavioral assessment and treatment of individuals in a mental health setting, including experience with substance users.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working with children or adolescents. Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills; effective communication skills (written and oral); ability to problem solve; ability to motivate, develop, and coach individuals and groups; ability to appropriately confront issues; and ability to think creatively.
- A strong commitment to furthering institutional performance measures through interdisciplinary teamwork is essential.
- Experience in providing and documenting psychological Mental Health Assessments and Screenings including diagnosis as described in the DSM-V
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Bilingual in any language a plus.
- Expected travel to participate in staff training and management development programs.
