Duties

  • Greet visitors, clients, and staff with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued
  • Manage multi-line phone systems, screen calls, and direct inquiries to appropriate personnel promptly
  • Handle all front desk responsibilities including scheduling appointments, maintaining visitor logs, and managing incoming correspondence
  • Perform data entry, filing, and document proofreading to support office organization and accuracy
  • Utilize computer skills in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other office management software to prepare reports, memos, and correspondence
  • Support calendar management and coordinate meetings or appointments for staff members or executives
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and ensure the reception area is tidy and organized at all times

Job Description:

We are a busy, professional, and friendly nail salon located in South County, St. Louis (Zip code 63129). We pride ourselves on providing a drama-free, welcoming environment for both our staff and clients.

We are currently seeking a reliable, energetic, and organized Front Desk Receptionist / Salon Assistant to join our team. This is a multi-tasking role that combines customer service with light salon support to keep our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service & Front Desk: Greet clients warmly as they arrive, manage the check-in/check-out process, and handle payments professionally.
  • Appointment Management: Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage bookings using our online scheduling system.
  • Salon Flow Support: Coordinate with nail technicians to manage walk-ins and appointments efficiently, ensuring a smooth flow and fair turn rotation.
  • Salon Upkeep & Prep: Fill pedicure bowls with water and hand towels for waiting clients to assist technicians.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the front desk, waiting area, and polish display racks clean, organized, and presentable throughout the day.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Friendly, upbeat personality with strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills (experience with salon booking software or POS systems is a plus, but we are willing to train).
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance (crucial for opening/closing shifts).
  • Legal authorization to work in the US.

Shift & Availability:

  • Available to work weekdays and/or weekends (Flexible schedule options available for Full-Time or Part-Time).

Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour (Based on experience).
