Position Summary
The part-time Youth Program Specialist provides support to school-based empowerment groups through, mentoring, and case management for a shared caseload of students. This role focuses primarily on school hours, providing intervention, referrals, and small group support in partnership with Stars That Shine program staff and school counselors.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate small groups and support sessions during school-based empowerment programs.
- Manage a smaller, shared caseload of students to provide mentorship and referrals.
- Maintain progress notes, case documentation, and ensure confidentiality.
- Provide basic crisis intervention and connect students/families with external resources when needed.
- Collaborate with program staff and school counselors to monitor student progress and needs.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and supervision.
Requirements
- Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in WV or equivalent credential (LGSW, LPC, MSW, etc.).
- Experience with adolescents in schools or community-based settings.
- Experience working with youth impacted by trauma, substance use, or related challenges in the home environment (preferred).
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Availability during school hours with some flexibility.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
