About Us
Starrett Tru-Stone Technologies is currently seeking a Engineering Specialist. We are looking for a detail oriented, success driven, people person to join our team. They will work in our state-of-the-art, climate controlled facility located in Waite Park, Minnesota. Our facility is in close proximity to St. Cloud, Sartell, Sauk Rapids, Clearwater and other central Minnesota cities/towns. This is not a remote nor hybrid position. Starrett Tru-Stone Technologies has been providing turnkey solutions in precision granite, carbon fiber, ceramic, and other manufacturing medium's for over 50 years. Our primary industries are semiconductor equipment, manufacturing automation, vision, laser metrology and research laboratories.
Position Overview
The Engineering Specialist ensures accurate technical details for production, updates job documentation, and prevents recurring errors. This role supports efficient workflows and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Review and clarify customer drawings; create detailed CAD/CAM files as needed.
- Develop production routings and maintain drawing file index.
- Review and update BOMs for purchasing accuracy.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing and resolve process issues.
- Plan and monitor projects to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
- Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries and issue resolution.
- Maintain and improve engineering procedures and work center methodologies.
- Collaborate with quality teams to ensure product compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- 3–5 years in manufacturing or engineering.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Office; Adobe Acrobat a plus.
- Knowledge of mechanical drawing principles, GD&T, and production systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a group setting.
