Vending Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vending Technician to join our service team, responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting vending machines across various locations. This role requires a combination of mechanical aptitude, technical knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure optimal machine performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in field service, equipment repair, and maintenance.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vending machines, including troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
• Use hand tools and schematics to diagnose problems and execute repairs efficiently.
• Install, upgrade, and replace components such as circuit boards, motors, and coin mechanisms.
• Conduct equipment inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
• Utilize computer networking skills to troubleshoot software or communication issues within vending systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to facilitate accurate repairs.
• Test electrical components using tools such as ohmmeters and low voltage testers to identify faults.
• Document service activities accurately in digital systems and communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience in field service or as a service technician specializing in vending machines or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with hand tools effectively.
• Familiarity with computer hardware components, software troubleshooting, and network connectivity related to vending systems.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for complex electronic equipment.
• Experience with equipment repair, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting electrical systems including low voltage circuits.
• Knowledge of circuit testing devices such as ohmmeters for diagnosing electrical faults.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues quickly and accurately.
• Ability to work independently in various environments while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
