Job Summary: The Personal Lines Account Manager performs the essential functions of the position. Service and marketing responsibilities are required in this position. Meets service and sales delivery standards and performs essential functions to the quality and service standards developed by the agency. This role is eligible for our hybrid work schedule after training completed. All training will take place in the Calhoun office, once hybrid can work in Calhoun, Cartersville, Rome, or Ringgold offices.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Regularly communicates with clients discussing the details, billing, changes, etc. on their personal insurance policies
- Orders and issues binders, certificates, policies, endorsements and other related items; verifies their accuracy; forwards them to client with appropriate correspondence.
- Reviews renewal marketing prepared by processing and determines which carrier to move forward with proposal
- Renewal review with current clients to present options, offer rewrites to mitigate rate increase or carrier nonrenewal
- Prepares worksheets and summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals as needed.
- Verifies policy and policy change information, facilitating corrections when necessary.
- Facilitates new policies for current clients who need due to purchases (i.e. new home or vacation property)
- Maintains accurate records in AMS360 and also follows processes to document communications
- Timely in follow up on tasks and to verify coverage was changed or bound as requested.
Primary Responsibilities (continued):
- Assists the client with billing questions and payments.
- Processes incoming email, mail and phone requests, responding promptly and appropriately.
- Determines reasons for requests for cancellations; acts to save accounts.
- Processes and following up on cancellations requests to carriers to ensure accurate and timely resolution.
- In absence of Claims Specialist or during catastrophic losses assists clients in submitting first reports of claims, facilitates prompt response from carrier staff and follows up on claims status, according to agency procedures.
- Identifies exposure to loss and recommends appropriate coverages.

- Maintains a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co- workers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts.
- Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
- Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communications skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the agency.

- Property, Casualty Agents License. Preferred.
- 3-5 years of Customer Service experience. Preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance products and usage. Preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets. Preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures. Preferred.
- Familiarity with computer, excel and word processing programs.
