Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President, Product Leader to oversee our Lawyers and Professionals insurance product line. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the commercial property and casualty insurance market, with a specific focus on professional liability insurance for lawyers and other professional services. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of product development, market analysis, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities: Product Strategy and Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for the Lawyers and Professionals insurance line. Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to drive product innovation and differentiation. Lead the development of new insurance products and enhancements to existing products, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and market demands. Market Analysis and Research: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth and expansion within the Lawyers and Professionals segment. Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to inform product strategy and positioning. Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of product managers and analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Collaborate with underwriting, claims, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and successful product implementation. Work closely with senior leadership to align product strategies with overall company goals and objectives. Financial Performance and Reporting: Develop and manage product line budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics. Monitor product performance and profitability, making data-driven decisions to optimize results. Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on product performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, brokers, and industry stakeholders. Gather feedback and insights from customers and partners to continuously improve product offerings and customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, JD) preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the commercial property and casualty insurance industry, with a focus on professional liability insurance for lawyers and other professionals. Proven track record of successful product development and management, including experience with market analysis and strategy formulation. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. In-depth knowledge of insurance regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
