Role Description
Part time afternoon position
Monday-Thursday |11:30am-4:00pm
Fridays | 10:00-2:00pm
The teacher will provide literacy instruction including phonics, reading comprehension, and writing development through whole-group and small-group teaching. Class sizes are small, allowing for individualized instruction and relationship-building.
Some students are English Language Learners (ESL), and the teacher will support vocabulary development, reading fluency, and language confidence through structured literacy instruction.
We are looking for a teacher who can create consistency, clear expectations, and a calm learning environment while encouraging student growth and independence.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Teaching, with experience in classroom instruction
- Strong classroom management skills required
- Skills in Education and Training, focusing on reading and writing development
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to connect effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Experience working with primary or elementary school students is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field is required; teaching credentials are a plus
