Position Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Salida
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Salida, CO
About the Role:
Starpoint is seeking a caring and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Salida. DSPs support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in achieving greater independence, building skills, and participating fully in their community.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting individuals with daily living activities and personal care as needed
- Supporting community involvement, social activities, and skill development
- Encouraging independence, dignity, and self-advocacy
- Ensuring safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Providing documentation of services and progress

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Must have own reliable vehicle
- Ability to pass required background checks and pre-employment screenings
- Compassion, patience, and commitment to supporting others
- Must be able to attend initial training at Starpoint’s Cañon City office
