What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director Clinical Programming position at Starlite Recovery Center?
Program Operations & Administration
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the outpatient substance-use treatment program.
- Develop and maintain program policies, procedures, and workflows that align with state, federal, and accreditation standards (e.g., SAMHSA, CARF, JCAHO).
- Monitor productivity, service utilization, scheduling, and staff caseloads.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation, billing, and reporting.
- Lead program audits, quality assurance reviews, and performance-improvement activities.
Clinical Oversight
- Supervise clinical staff (therapists, counselors, case managers, recovery coaches) and provide clinical guidance and support.
- Ensure delivery of evidence-based practices such as CBT, MI, MET, relapse-prevention, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Conduct case consultations, treatment plan reviews, and client-care meetings.
- Support integration of co-occurring mental-health treatment and medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when applicable.
- Ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards.
Staff Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate program staff.
- Provide regular clinical supervision, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Facilitate team meetings and promote a collaborative, recovery-oriented culture.
- Identify and coordinate staff development opportunities and required trainings (e.g., CPR, crisis intervention, confidentiality).
Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, state licensing requirements, and payer regulations.
- Implement and monitor quality-improvement initiatives based on program data and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, grievances, critical events, and compliance activities.
Client & Community Engagement
- Support client engagement, retention, and successful completion of treatment plans.
- Coordinate referrals and develop partnerships with community agencies, healthcare providers, probation/parole, courts, and social-service organizations.
- Represent the program at community meetings, coalitions, and outreach events.
Budget & Resource Management
- Assist in developing and managing the program budget.
- Monitor expenses, staffing levels, and resource allocation.
- Identify opportunities for grants, program expansion, and service improvement.
