What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Worker position at Starlight Corporation?
OVERVIEW:
We are currently looking for qualified aircraft washers, lubers and mechanics for the KC-135’s located at MacDill AFB and to participate in the aircraft wash/corrosion control program.
It is preferred that applicants have a minimum of (2) years Organizational level aircraft maintenance experience, but not required for all positions. An A&P license shall be considered equivalent. Must comply with U.S. military aircraft records procedures.
Security Requirements: The candidate may be required to complete a SF 86 National Agency Check and Local Agency Check (NACLC) background check. Successful candidates will likely be required to access restricted areas and even government LAN access for quality control purposes. This position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance. No convictions or criminal history will be allowed.

Starlight Corporation is a Woman-Owned government contracting company specializing in Aviation Support Services and Aircraft Corrosion Control Services. We have over (20) years of experience support the Federal Government spanning a wide variety of military branches and agencies. Starlight is looking for competent self-starters ready to join the corrosion program at MacDill AFB. We are looking for immediate positions to be filled for part time employees with the potential of full-time work capabilities.
DUTIES:
* Wash interior/exterior of the aircraft, as well as post wash lubrication services.
* Assist with pre-prep (i.e. install plugs, mask, tape, etc.) of aircraft prior to wash process.
* Remove all tools and foreign objects from the aircraft to ensure no Foreign Object Damage (FOD)
* Clean wash rack area and organize took kits located at office or job trailer
* Will frequently be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferred but not required: Minimum two (2) years Organizational level aircraft maintenance experience.
- A&P license shall be considered equivalent to two (2) years' aircraft maintenance experience.
- Comply with U.S. Military aircraft records procedures.
- Ability to document all maintenance actions within computerized maintenance software (GO81, IMDS, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical orders (TO’s), safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
- Must be a citizen of the United States
- Physical Requirements: Regularly required to lift to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms.
