Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Starlift Equipment is a Mitsubishi, Clark & Heli Forklift Dealership in West Haven, CT.

We have been a leader in the material handling industry since 1986.

We are seeking a motivated and skilled technician that is looking for a long-term job with a great company.

Mechanic will be required to service our customers’ equipment by performing diagnostics, maintenance and repairs.

Mechanical knowledge of Forklifts, Pallet Trucks and Scissor Lifts is a plus.

Technician must be self-motivated, results driven, quality focused, productive, safety minded, have a positive attitude and be company oriented.

Responsibilities:

• Repair forklifts, scissor lifts and other heavy equipment
• Use diagnostic tools to test equipment components
• Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a mechanic
• Knowledge of shop equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
