Description

Position Summary:

This role serves as administrative support for our Employee Benefits department. This individual serves to handle routine transactions relating to Employee Benefits insurance.

This role strictly adheres to our Corporate Standards of Excellence and procedural guidelines spelled out in our Professional Procedural Manual.

Essential Job Functions

  • Markets renewals on a timely basis by communicating with Account Executive and/or Producer and carriers during the renewal process, creating renewal proposals/plan options and summaries of coverages/rates.
  • Process routine client transactions including renewals, cancellations and other inquiries.
  • Issue standard cover letters.
  • Assist with client calls, inquiries and carrier requests when directed by an Account Executive or Producer.
  • Oversee a small book of group renewal business via phone and email.
  • Maintain client files in database, including documenting pertinent written correspondence in ImageRight.
  • Utilize online company rating on carrier websites.
  • Complete annual file audit for all new business and 50 renewals.
  • Serve as back up to other Account Managers as requested.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

  • Fluency in MS Office products.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in an ever changing environment is critical.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn Employee Benefits insurance coverage, underwriting and processing.
  • Commitment to superior customer service.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, to work well with others, and to manage time effectively.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
  • Insurance or experience preferred.
