Overview
We are seeking a PTA to work PRN in our clinic periodically, specifically in the month of June of 2026. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality therapeutic care to patients in an outpatient physical therapy clinic. Your hours will vary based on the need of the clinic per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients leaving the facility.
- Uphold safety standards and infection control protocols within the clinic or facility.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care.
- Experience in outpatient setting and comfortable with manual therapy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
