Route Driver – Trash Truck- No CDL Required
Starkey’s Trash Service,LLC.
Canyon, Tx
Local route driver operating a small rear-loading trash truck in the Amarillo and Canyon area, including Bushland and Umbarger.
Route Driver Responsible for:
· Providing safe, courteous, and prompt waste removal
· Pre and post trip inspections
· Fluid checks and replacement
· General servicing of trucks
· Learning dedicated route Monday – Friday
· Safe driving in all conditions
Required Experience Includes:
· Ability to back up a trash truck using only side mirrors in and out of driveways
· Work Together as a team
· Customer Service skills
· Time Management
Qualification:
· Must be 21 years or older
· Clean driving record for 4 years
· Current driving history
Must Be Able To:
· Work 40 hours a week or more
· Back a truck using only side mirrors
· Use Tablet for route directions and information
· Get in and out of vehicle at every stop
· Physically roll trash carts to trash truck
· Drive all day on a route
· Communicate with other drivers by phone daily to finish all routes
· Work outside in all conditions and seasons
· Keep inside of company trucks smoke free and clean
Duties also include general labor around the shop
Cleaning and repairing carts.
