Starkey Courier

Starkey is hiring a Courier for it's global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. This position is responsible for delivering packages and mail between buildings on the Starkey Headquarters campus, to the Starkey Glencoe, MN location, as well as special deliveries in the Twin Cities metro.

Job Responsibilities

• Delivering items between HQ campus buildings
  • Log tracking numbers upon receipt
  • Load courier truck with boxes, bins and pallets in organized fashion
  • Drive courier truck to designated drop off sites for each building
  • Drop packages, pallets and bins at designated locations
  • Deliver packages to individuals and departments when requested
  • Maintain on time schedule for deliveries at each building
• Deliver items to Starkey Glencoe
  • Collect items needed in Glencoe and store in designate consolidation location
  • Load courier truck on scheduled delivery days (and special trips when requested)
  • Drive items to Glencoe safely and in a timely manner
  • Unload items at Glencoe site and load items to be sent to HQ
• Special deliveries in the Twin Cities metro
  • When approved by manager, take requests from Starkey employees to deliver items from Starkey to non-Starkey site (vendor, customer, carrier site, etc.) or vice versa.
  • Collaborate with requester and manager on timing of the routes, as to not affect intercompany deliveries significantly
• Truck maintenance
  • Fill courier truck with fuel when needed
  • Monitor truck for any issues and report to manager
  • Bring to designated repair shop for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
• Perform other duties/responsibilities as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education and Certification
Education - High School Degree or equivalent required

• Active MN license in good standing
• Ability to pass DOT medical certification
• Ability to pass annual MN driver’s license background check

Knowledge / Technical Requirements

• DOT driver requirements
• Forklift certified

Salary and Other Compensation:

The target rate for this position is between $17.02 to $24.74/hr. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
