Starkey Hearing is adding a Sr. Manufacturing Test Engineer II - Onsite to the Operations test team at our global headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN. If you are Sr Manufacturing Test Engineer with 7 years of experience in designing electrical schematics, this may be your next career move. This position is responsible to develop Starkey hearing aid and accessory manufacturing test platforms. This includes developing, implementing, and validating hardware and software to test Starkey products at the component, subassembly, and device levels. In addition, this person will research, develop, and implement innovative techniques in detecting defects and test automation to improve cost and efficiency in the production environment.

This position is responsible to develop Starkey hearing aid and accessory manufacturing test platforms. This includes developing, implementing, and validating hardware and software to test Starkey products at the component, subassembly, and device levels. In addition, this person will research, develop, and implement innovative techniques in detecting defects and test automation to improve cost and efficiency in the production environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead test system design and implementation throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
  • Lead the electrical design of the test interface board for the Electrical PCBA Tester design
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for production, yield, and field-return issues using both hardware and software diagnostic approaches.
  • Support cross-functional teams with data analysis, FMEA, and test strategy optimization.
  • Develop and maintain automated test software using C#, C, LabVIEW, TESTSTAND and SQL, and continuously improve existing test frameworks.
  • Quickly learn and understand complex test systems from both electrical, mechanical and system-level software perspectives.
  • Maintain organized documentation, revision control, and adherence to process and quality standards.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Experience
    • 7 years of experience in test engineering or hardware design for PCBA test systems

Knowledge / Technical Requirement

  • Strong proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics) and schematic capture.
  • Solid understanding of electrical interfaces, signal integrity, and test instrumentation.
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency with analog and mixed signals.
  • Experience with microcontrollers, DSP, SoC design, along with using sensors, MEMS, Optical, temp, Gyro.
  • Experience with LabVIEW/TestStand integration and automated test systems

Competencies, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and apply these skills to solve problems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with moderate supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with DFT (Design for Test) principles.
  • Knowledge of high-speed digital interfaces and mixed-signal design.
  • Experience in manufacturing test environments and process optimization.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The target rate for this position is between $113,960 to $151,410/year. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is eligible for a bonus based upon performance results. There is no guarantee of payout.
