Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Regional Property Manager to lead and oversee multiple residential properties within a designated geographic area. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and financial performance of our properties while delivering exceptional service to residents and clients. As a key driver of our team’s success, you will motivate staff, manage budgets, ensure compliance with housing laws, and foster positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across multiple properties, ensuring high standards of maintenance, safety, and resident satisfaction
- Lead and manage property management teams, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated workforce
- Develop and implement strategic plans for property leasing, tenant retention, and revenue growth
- Manage leasing activities including lease or rental agreement management, tenant screening, and move-in/move-out procedures
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws such as Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant law, Section 8 housing programs, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other federal/state requirements
- Prepare and monitor budgets; oversee rent collections; handle financial reporting using property management tools like Yardi, Entrata or OneSite
- Coordinate property maintenance and facilities management to ensure properties remain in excellent condition; utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work orders
- Conduct regular property inspections; address tenant concerns promptly; resolve conflicts effectively through conflict management skills
- Maintain accurate records through data entry, filing systems, and client communication logs; ensure all legal documentation is current and properly stored
- Foster strong relationships with tenants, vendors, community organizations, and regulatory agencies to promote community engagement and compliance
Skills
- Extensive experience with property management software such as Yardi, Entrata, OneSite or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, Section 8 programs, LIHTC compliance, and contracts management
- Proven ability in team management with excellent leadership qualities; capable of motivating staff toward shared goals
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on client communication and conflict resolution
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook for reporting and correspondence
- Skilled in negotiation for lease agreements and vendor contracts; adept at upselling amenities or services to enhance resident satisfaction
- Experience in budgeting, financial analysis, rent collection processes, and facilities management
- Office experience combined with strong phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in data entry and legal administrative tasks
