Job Responsibilities
- Hand sew carpet and rug products according to Fabrication Work Orders (FWOs) and production specifications.
- Read and interpret work orders, diagrams, and sewing instructions.
- Inspect materials before sewing to identify defects or quality concerns.
- Ensure seams, edges, and finishes meet STARK's quality standards.
- Trim threads and inspect completed products for accuracy and appearance.
- Handle luxury carpet materials carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
- Maintain an organized workstation and follow all safety procedures.
- Work closely with Fabrication, Quality Control, and other production teams to meet daily production goals.
- Assist with additional fabrication tasks as needed.
- Maintain productivity while ensuring exceptional craftsmanship.
- Previous hand sewing, upholstery, tailoring, carpet fabrication, or textile manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to read and follow work orders and production instructions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the workday.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
