STARK is seeking an experienced Pad Prep for our Calhoun, GA location. This role is responsible for Tackout (Block) Carpet to square by knee kicking carpet and using a nail gun.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM

- Measure and cut padding materials (foam, batting, or fabric) using hand tools, cutting machines, or templates.
- Follow work orders, patterns, or cut sheets to ensure proper dimensions and quantity.
- Inspect materials for defects prior to and after cutting to maintain quality standards.
- Label and organize cut pieces for production use or inventory.
- Maintain a clean and organized cutting area, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Track and report material usage and waste.
- Assist in maintaining cutting equipment and report any mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with production team to ensure workflow is consistent and deadlines are met.
- Cross-train in other production areas as needed.
- Ability to work in warehouse environment in heat in excess of 95 degrees during the summer and lower temps during winter.
- Basic math and measurement skills, including the use of measuring tapes and rulers.
- Ability to read and understand cut sheets, patterns, or job instructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move materials for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
