Position Summary
Duct Bank One is seeking a Quality Control Technician with ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I certification to join our team in Massillon, Ohio. This role is essential in ensuring our precast products consistently meet industry standards, project specifications, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct daily inspections of precast concrete units for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and overall quality.
· Perform concrete and material testing in compliance with ACI, ASTM, PCI, and DOT standards.
· Monitor batching, mix design accuracy, slump, air content, temperature, and unit weights.
· Maintain complete and accurate test results, reports, and quality records.
· Identify and communicate nonconformance issues to production staff; assist in corrective actions.
· Ensure proper curing, handling, and storage of precast elements.
· Support external audits and inspections (PCI, DOT, customer representatives).
· Maintain calibration and care of testing equipment.
· Promote and enforce safe work practices throughout the plant.
Qualifications
· ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I certification (required).
· Additional ACI or PCI certifications highly preferred.
· Experience in precast, ready-mix, or construction materials testing strongly preferred.
· Knowledge of ASTM, PCI, and DOT testing procedures.
· Strong attention to detail with ability to follow standardized processes.
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
· Strong organizational and communication skills.
· Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, reporting software).
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in indoor/outdoor environments.
