Proofreading and correcting to ensure the accuracy of data entry for recorded documents
Verify validity and accuracy of legal descriptions from recorded documents
Process marriage licenses and passport applications accurately
Posts outgoing mail, makes copies, filing
Maintain monthly reports for marriage licenses
Answers phone and refer callers to appropriate staff or departments. Schedules appointments.
Process and bill daily and monthly reports for images and data for recorded documents as assigned
Maintain and update office signage and informational handouts
Perform related work as required by the Recorder
Education And Experience
Ability to learn legal descriptions for section/township/range and subdivisions/lots/blocks
Must possess the following characteristics: accuracy in work; reliability; and detail oriented
Ability to successfully multitask and meet deadlines in an environment of frequent interruptions
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, employees and the public
Ability to use typewriter

Education And Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent and two years of office experience.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications and ability to adapt to computer software specific to position.
