Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, windows, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment.
- Handle various chemical agents safely for cleaning, sanitation, and disinfecting purposes following proper chemical handling safety procedures.
- Conduct lifting tasks while practicing safe lifting practices to move furniture, supplies, or equipment efficiently and injury-free.
- Maintain custodial supplies inventory and ensure all cleaning tools are properly stored and maintained for optimal performance.
- Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting as needed to support overall building upkeep.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring the environment is clean, organized, and inviting.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and the use of cleaning equipment including floor buffers and other custodial tools.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and adhere strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset.
