- Develop and maintain configuration management plans, procedures, and policies in accordance with AS9100 and customer contract requirements.
- Control and maintain product baselines, part numbers, BOMs, drawings, and associated documentation throughout design, production, and sustainment phases.
- Administer configuration change control boards (CCBs), ensuring timely and accurate review, approval, and implementation of engineering changes.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure consistent documentation and configuration alignment across all departments.
- Manage document control systems and ensure accurate release, revision, and archival of controlled data.
- Monitor and audit configuration processes to verify compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Generate configuration status accounting reports and metrics to track configuration items, changes, and approvals.
- Support customer audits, internal AS9100 audits, and source inspections as the configuration subject matter expert.
- bachelor's degree (BS) in a STEM discipline (Engineering, Science, or Technology) or Business Administration.
- 5-7 years of experience in configuration management within an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, and related aerospace standards.
- Experience managing engineering change processes (ECNs/ECOs/CCBs) and working with ERP/MRP or PLM systems (e.g., SAP, Windchill, Teamcenter, etc.).
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- CM certification (CMII or equivalent) or formal CM training.
- Experience with government/DoD programs and ITAR-controlled documentation.
- Familiarity with digital configuration and model-based environments.
