Starfruit Express is building the operating system for how restaurants get their food. We combine smart ordering software, purchasing intelligence, and refrigerated cold-chain delivery into one platform. And every single order starts with one person: the Shopper.
When a chef orders through Starfruit, they're trusting us with their menu, their margins, and their reputation. You are our hands and eyes inside the supplier. You pick it, you check it, you stage it -> and the entire system moves because you did it right.
What You'll Be Doing
- Work structured pick lists through our in-house app — barcode scans, weight checks, and photo verification.
- Select produce, meat, seafood, and reject anything you wouldn't serve your own family
- Flag missing items and propose smart substitutions before checkout — never after
- Communicate fast: a 5-minute heads-up saves a 2-hour problem
- Label and stage every order by client and temperature class (frozen, chilled, dry)
- Photograph staged orders so the record is airtight
- Hand off to drivers clean, complete, and cold-chain ready

What You'll Bring

- Authorized to work in the United States
Pay, Schedule & Growth
- $15–$17/hr to start (W-2), plus accuracy and speed bonuses
- Consistent W-2 shifts built around morning fulfillment windows
- Formal advancement reviews twice a year — raises and promotions are earned on performance
- As the company grows and expands, higher level positions will be available and employees will receive priority choice.
