Qualifications:
- 5 years of Linux sysadmin experience in medium to large IT environments
- Strong fluency with Linux tools, debugging, and performance analysis
- Strong familiarity with Linux packaging tools and usage such as Yum, Apt, dpkg, Rpm
- Experience with parallel file systems (Lustre, GPFS, BGFS, etc)
- Strong Python scripting (solid skills; other high-level languages considered commensurate with experience)
- Familiarity with SQL and Databases. SQL scripting (Postgres direct experience a plus)
- Hands-on experience with NFS and SMB protocol mounting and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with, and experience troubleshooting permissions issues such as LDAP, active directory, and PAM
- Strong debugging and system diagnostics for performance analysis and problem determination
- Experience working with Web services such as HTML, Nginx, CGI, and Apache
- Competent network and network troubleshooting skills
- Windows administration experience a plus
- Experience with data protection, migration, or archiving software (i.e., NetApp, Veritas, Rubrik, Cohesity, Komprise, Commvault) is a plus.
