Your Role at a Glance:
As a Wound Care FNP, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge wound care solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
Advanced Wound Care Management: Diagnosing, developing, and implementing treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic wounds, including diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, venous ulcers, and more.
Innovative Treatments: Performing specialized interventions like debridement, advanced dressings, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), and skin grafts.
Patient Empowerment: Educating patients and families on wound care techniques and preventive measures to support healing and prevent recurrence.
Team Collaboration: Partnering with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver personalized, high-quality care.
Continuous Improvement: Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Education & Certification: Master’s degree in Nursing with a current and valid FNP license in Indiana and/or Illionis. Advanced Practice Certification and/or Wound care certification (e.g., WOCNCB) is preferred.
Experience: At least 1-2 years as an FNP, including years in wound care with expertise in managing complex cases such as diabetic ulcers and venous insufficiency wounds.
Skills: Advanced knowledge of wound care therapies, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
