Recreational Gymnastics Program Leader
Location: East Bridgewater, MA
Job Type: Part-Time with potential for Full-Time
Reports To: Gym Manager / Assistant General Manager
About the Role
We are seeking a Recreational Gymnastics Program Leader to lead, develop, and grow our recreational gymnastics program. This role blends hands-on coaching, curriculum development, and people leadership to ensure every class delivers on our brand promise: the best hour of a child’s week.
The ideal candidate is an energetic leader who loves working with kids, mentoring staff, using data to guide decisions, and creating fun, developmentally appropriate programming that drives enrollment and retention.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and lead a fun, engaging, year-round recreational gymnastics curriculum with themed lesson plans
- Partner with gym leadership to support enrollment growth, retention, and program profitability
- Participate in routine strategic planning and program innovation sessions
- Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator on program marketing initiatives
Staff Leadership & Development
- Hire, train, evaluate, inspire, and mentor recreational gymnastics staff
- Lead and prepare for program meetings (pre-shift meetings, program meetings, EDMs)
- Conduct regular one-on-one development meetings (EDMs) with program staff
- Maintain a positive, professional team culture focused on growth and accountability
- Ensure all staff certifications (USAG, CPR, AED, First Aid) are current and documented
Operations & Scheduling
- Ensure the program is fully staffed at all times and manage schedule coverage
- Teach a minimum of five classes per week within the program
- Assess class schedules for opportunities to expand or consolidate offerings
- Resolve family concerns professionally and within 36 hours
Data & Administration
- Run and analyze reports using iClass to assess program health
- Maintain skill trees and curriculum tracking tools within iClass
- Support consistent skill tracking and communication with families
Standards & Expectations
- Maintain a 40% trial conversion rate for the program
- Achieve an eNPS score of 20 or higher from program staff
- Attend monthly Program Leader meetings
- Maintain all required certifications and attend ongoing training
- Commit to continuous professional development for yourself and your team
- Ability to work a weekend day and weekdays
Qualifications
- Previous experience coaching gymnastics (recreational preferred)
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using scheduling and management software (iClass experience a plus)
- Passion for child development, team leadership, and program growth
