Starchem LLC is seeking a highly organized and creative Interior Design Project Manager to oversee and execute interior design projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will combine strong design expertise with project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple interior design projects simultaneously from initial concept through final installation
- Collaborate with clients to understand design needs, preferences, and project scope
- Develop design concepts, space plans, mood boards, and material selections
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Prepare and manage project budgets, timelines, and schedules
- Oversee procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E)
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure design intent is maintained
- Resolve project issues and ensure client satisfaction throughout all phases
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in interior design and project management
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design and project execution skills
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, and industry trends
Preferred Skills:
- PMP certification or equivalent project management experience
- Experience in commercial or residential large-scale projects
- Strong vendor and contractor network
