The Starbucks experience starts in our Roasting Plants where we have a dedicated team of professional roasters and supporting process teams including planning, warehouse management, packaging, roasting, maintenance, engineering and logistics. As a loader technician, you will: • Load green coffee into the Green Coffee Cleaning and Green Coffee Silo Storage system. • Monitor and maintain green coffee dust collection system. • Coordinate with roasting and logistics partners to ensure schedules are met • Assist with coaching and mentoring of new loader technicians. • Ensure inventory accuracy by maintaining records and completes map of incoming product dock (IPD) for green coffee. • Operate forklift to transport green coffee from interim storage locations in the plant to the loading platform area. • Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for the loading station and green coffee silo storage Areas. • Advise maintenance partners of conditions impairing safe and correct operation of green coffee loading and transfer systems. • Demonstrate and understand safety as a core value and follows the key essentials to safety as set forth by our safety resolution; reinforces and coaches others to do the same. • Understand and follow established safety guidelines, consistently complies with all safety procedures (e.g. PPE, Lock Out Tag Out). • Support food safety, legality and quality programs. • Maintain product quality through adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures. Monitors and documents quality measures using analytical tools. • Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Starbucks Mission & Values. • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality. Qualifications:

We’d love to hear from people with: • High School diploma/GED or 4 years of US military service • Forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification • Ability to lift up to 150 pounds in a safe manner (team lift) • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities • Attention to detail • Ability to perform inventory counts • Basic math skills • Ability to follow verbal direction Knowledge of equipment maintenance • Troubleshooting skills • Self-motivated o Ability to understand written policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards • Ability to work with a diverse team environment • Ability to work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies and procedures • Ability to work variable shifts to support business needs loader technician • Ability to understand written policies and guidelines, specifications and safety standards • Production or distribution environment (2 years) • Familiarity with food safety regulatory requirements and global standards including Preventive Controls for Human Food (FDA Code of Federal Regulations) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
