As a facilities services manager (FSM) you will maintain and enhance the store condition across a portfolio of stores. Using teamwork and a supplier network, they optimize investment and budget to enable Operations to deliver The Starbucks Experience while maintaining brand standards. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. The ideal candidate will be located in one of the following locations: Richmond, VA or Washington D.C., or Columbia, SC. This job contributes to Starbucks success by successful execution of the key responsibilities below: Condition and Quality - Assesses store assets to current condition and brand standards, cleanliness, safety, beverage quality standards and environmental standards - Presents business metrics, status/timelines and KPIs to influence partnership and Operations ownership for condition and quality - Communicates store condition for portfolio review, and asset needs during scoping and schematic for new stores and renovation. Spend Management - Forecasts, executes and manages tasks for R&M and Facilities Capital investment within budget tolerance aligned with Store condition for areas of responsibility and executes SOX compliance tasks - Repair / Replace logic to optimize asset lifecycle Supplier Management - Manages supplier performance to optimize cost, service, and meet financial targets for their assigned area of responsibility - Regularly reviews costs, quality of work and scope of work to ensure optimal value from suppliers - Supports execution of the overall regional supplier management plan for area of responsibility - Understands portfolio of store equipment to pursue warranties with suppliers as appropriate Asset Management - Accountable to track and support accuracy of asset information to drive business and decisions, realization of investment benefits and reduce operational risk - Executes effective asset management protocols to optimize equipment lifecycle, uptime and lease life. - Supports total costs of ownership through asset retirement, reporting compliance, warranty claims Solving Problems in the Moment - Anticipates problems and leverages cross functional resources to respond in the appropriate time - Assesses urgency and provides escalation support for unplanned & urgent needs through consideration of the brand - Business Continuity - Providing support and store coverage in a 24/7 environment, inclusive of life safety requirements, health department requirements Coaching for Performance and Development - Educates store and business partners to deliver on standards and their role in the preventive maintenance to and ensure they have the required knowledge and skills to deliver the Starbucks Experience - Delivers situational coaching using the appropriate method, style, timing Escalation and Support for unplanned and urgent needs - Store closure (Temporary and Permanent) - VIP expectations / visits - Business continuity during natural disasters

Qualifications:

We’d love to hear from people with: - Minimum of a High School diploma or GED or 4 years of US military experience. Preferred education of a Bachelor’s degree in facilities or construction management, architecture, or business-related field - Valid driver’s license - Basic knowledge of database queries and analysis - Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel and Outlook - Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing - 3 years of affiliated systems management experience i.e., work task management program, enterprise data reporting and mobile business applications - 3 years of experience managing service and maintenance vendors in facilities, construction, or a related mechanical trade - 3 years of experience with capital and expense budget accountability - 3 years of project management and preventative maintenance programs experience - 3 years of retail or restaurant chain operations experience Join us and be part of something bigger.
