Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Emergency Vehicle Technician / Installer to join our team. You will be responsible for installing emergency lighting, sirens, electrical systems, vehicle upfits, and custom equipment on fire trucks, ambulances, police vehicles, and other specialty vehicles. Key Responsibilities:
- Install emergency lighting, sirens, warning systems, and electrical components on emergency and specialty vehicles.
- Perform custom upfits including weld-on compartments, tool storage, winches, and specialized equipment.
- Run and terminate wiring for 12V and 24V systems, including control panels and power management.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on emergency vehicles.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and installation instructions.
- Ensure all installations meet industry safety standards and customer specifications.
- Work closely with the service and fabrication teams to complete projects on time and to high quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience installing emergency vehicle equipment (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of 12V and 24V electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with emergency lighting, sirens, and warning systems (Whelen, Federal Signal, SoundOff, etc.) is a big plus.
- Welding and fabrication skills are highly desired.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow technical instructions.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL is a plus).
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.
- ASE or Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) certifications are a plus but not required.

Work Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Additional overtime as needed or required
