We’re looking for a dependable, professional, and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to join our team. In this role, you’ll safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, therapy visits, dialysis, rehabilitation services, and other approved destinations.
You’ll receive a guaranteed base salary of $4,000 per month, with opportunities to earn additional performance-based bonuses. Bonuses may be awarded based on attendance, punctuality, safe driving, reliability, client service, completion of assigned trips, and overall job performance.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients to and from scheduled appointments and approved destinations.
- Arrive on time for pickups and drop-offs while following assigned routes and schedules.
- Provide courteous and respectful assistance when clients enter and exit the vehicle.
- Assist clients with mobility needs when appropriate and within training requirements.
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, dispatchers, and office staff.
- Follow traffic laws, company policies, and NEMT safety procedures at all times.
- Complete trip documentation, mileage logs, and transportation records accurately.
- Keep your assigned vehicle clean, presentable, and ready for service.
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Promptly report accidents, vehicle concerns, delays, incidents, or client safety issues.
- Protect client privacy and maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain dependable attendance and availability for assigned routes.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Dependable and punctual with strong time-management skills.
- Ability to safely operate the assigned transportation vehicle.
- Patient, respectful, and comfortable assisting individuals with varying medical and mobility needs.
- Ability to pass required background checks and driving-record screening.
- Ability to meet applicable NEMT driver training and certification requirements.
- Smartphone and ability to use GPS/navigation and transportation scheduling applications.
- Previous NEMT, healthcare, caregiving, transportation, rideshare, or professional driving experience is preferred.
Compensation & Bonus Opportunity
Guaranteed Base Salary: $4,000 per month ($48,000 annually)
