Citation Sovereign SIC Pilot

PURPOSE OF JOB:

This position is responsible to assist in the safe, efficient, and reliable transportation of company personnel, customers, and guests in company aircraft. The First Officer works directly in support of the Chief Pilot and occasionally in place of the Chief Pilot during his/her absence.

JOB DUTIES:

• Flight Operations

• Act as Second in Command for all company flights, accompanying Chief Pilot.
• Act as Pilot in Command for any flights that the Chief Pilot is absent.
• Maintain a high level of competency and communication during normal, abnormal, and emergency flight operations.
• Independently verify weight and balance and performance capabilities for all flights.
• Independently assess weather and other potential hazards to flight operations.
• Counsel with Chief Pilot after making independent assessments.
• Provide flight and safety orientation to passengers on all flights.
• Present a professional image on all flights, including appropriate attire, personal grooming, and courteous treatment of passengers.
• Maintain accurate pilot records of own flight time to assess required currency.
• Continuously maintain proper licensing, recurrent and flight safety training, and qualifications in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws, including the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and all insurance policies covering the aircraft.
• Load and unload passengers’ baggage into and from aircraft and vehicles.
• Keep aircraft interior and exterior clean and tidy.
• Maintain inventory of aircraft galley supplies, snacks, and beverages.
• Assess airworthiness of company aircraft on an ongoing basis.
• Assist Chief Pilot in maintenance and aircraft inspection planning, as needed.
• Assist Chief Pilot with ongoing cost management planning, as needed.

• General

• Ensure prompt and regular attendance.
• Perform other appropriate duties as may be assigned by Management.
• Travel as business needs may require.

• Education:

• High school diploma/equivalent is minimally required.
• College degree in Aviation preferred.

• Experience:

• 1500 hours of airplane flight time as a crewmember required.
• 500 hours of Pilot-in-Command time in airplanes required.
• 200 hours of Airplane Multiengine Land Time required.

• Qualifications:

• Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airline Transport Pilot certificate with Airplane Multi-Engine Land (AMEL) rating or Commercial Pilot certificate with Instrument and AMEL rating
• Minimum FAA Second Class Medical with ability to obtain First Class Medical if needed for international travel.

• Must not posses a criminal record that would exclude the individual from traveling to Canada. Examples include singular offenses for Driving Under the Influence (DUI), Driving While Intoxicated (DWI), domestic battery, or multiples of other minor offences, at the Company’s discretion.
