Essential Functions
· Completes payroll, human resources administrative tasks, and generalist’s duties.
· Manages benefits, new hire on boarding, and terminations.
· Creates and revises HR policies and forms.
· Completes human resources initiatives and projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Manages benefits including health, dental, life, Aflac, 401k, and FMLA. Acts as a liaison between the employee, benefit broker, and carrier to resolve any claims issues and answer benefit questions.
· Manages benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations; manages the benefits open enrollment process; communicates benefit information to employees; reviews benefit bills for accuracy and corrects any discrepancies.
· Assists in recruitment processes including preparing job postings, interview scheduling, and applicant record maintenance.
· Assists in the new hire orientation and on-boarding process.
· Develops and administers HR policies and procedures and revises the employee handbook in partnership with the HR Director.
· Administers human resources policies, plans, and procedures for all employees.
· Oversees all aspects of payroll management, processing, and auditing.
· Maintains the I-9, 401k, personnel, terminated employee, benefit, archive, and other HR files.
· Updates personnel information, enters changes, updates payroll deductions, and enters new hires in the HRIS payroll system.
· Maintains the payroll and HRIS database and compiles queries and reports.
· Provides training and assistance to employees on the HRIS system.
· Assists in the evaluation of new human resources tools, programs, and software packages, recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
· Creates HR, benefit, and performance review forms using Adobe pdf software or other platforms available.
· Administers the performance review process, suggesting improvements when appropriate.
· Compiles data and reports on employee goals and training requests.
· Works with managers on performance reviews, training, and goals.
· Assists with the compensation program.
· Develops and revises job descriptions.
· Completes administrative duties including mailing Fed-ex packages and proof-reading documents.
· Manages the termination process including termination forms, benefits, COBRA, exit interviews, and responds to unemployment claims.
· Completes other HR generalist, compliance, and employee relations duties.
· Assists in filing the EEO-1 report annually; maintains database of EEO required information.
· Partners with and aids other departments on projects.
· Other duties as assigned.
