Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Women’s Pelvic Health Physical Therapist to grow and oversee our pelvic health program. This role combines advanced clinical care with leadership, mentorship, and program development. The ideal candidate is a skilled clinician, a collaborative team leader, and an advocate for high-quality, evidence-based women’s health care.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
Provide comprehensive pelvic health physical therapy for women across the lifespan, including but not limited to:
Pelvic pain
Pregnancy and postpartum care
Urinary and fecal incontinence
Pelvic organ prolapse
Diastasis recti
Pre- and post-surgical care
Perform thorough evaluations, including internal pelvic floor assessments when appropriate
Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and payer requirements
Program Leadership & Development
Lead the growth and direction of the women’s pelvic health program
Establish and refine clinical protocols, outcomes tracking, and best practices
Collaborate with clinic leadership on program strategy, scheduling, and resource needs
Support community outreach, education, and referral development (e.g., OB/GYNs, midwives, doulas)
Team Leadership & Mentorship
Mentor and support pelvic health clinicians and staff
Provide clinical guidance, case consultation, and onboarding support
Foster a supportive, inclusive, and patient-centered team culture
Participate in hiring and performance development as needed
Qualifications
Required
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in [State]
Minimum of [3–5] years of experience in women’s pelvic health physical therapy
Advanced pelvic health training (e.g., Herman & Wallace, APTA Pelvic Health, or equivalent)
Experience with internal pelvic floor examination and treatment
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred
Board Certification in Women’s Health (WCS) or Pelvic Health (PRPC, CAPP-Pelvic)
Prior leadership, mentoring, or program development experience
