Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Grooming Assistant to join our team. As a Grooming Assistant, you will help provide exceptional grooming services to our furry clients.
Duties:
- Assist groomers with bathing, drying, and brushing pets
- Handle and restrain animals during grooming procedures
- Clean and maintain grooming tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area
- Provide basic grooming services such as nail trims and ear cleaning
- Monitor pets for any signs of distress or discomfort during grooming
- Assist with customer service duties such as scheduling appointments and answering client inquiries
Experience:
- Previous experience in pet care, animal care, or veterinary field is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic grooming techniques is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Skills:
- Pet sitting experience or familiarity with animal behavior is beneficial
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques is advantageous
- Basic understanding of veterinary procedures is a plus
- Passion for pet care and commitment to providing excellent service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm demeanor
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
