This role is responsible for stocking and rotating merchandise, maintaining organized shelves, checking product quality, and assisting customers while keeping the grocery department clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock and replenish grocery products on shelves and displays.
- Organize merchandise according to store standards and product categories.
- Rotate products and check expiration dates and product quality.
- Maintain accurate and attractive shelf displays.
- Assist customers with locating products and answering basic questions.
- Receive, unload, sort, and move merchandise as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs.
- Remove damaged or expired products according to store procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe grocery aisles and work areas.
- Assist with promotional displays and price changes.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Communicate product issues, inventory concerns, and customer requests to supervisors.
- Support other grocery department tasks during busy periods.
Qualifications
