Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Waterfront Director, where you will lead and oversee all aspects of our waterfront programs, ensuring a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for children and youth. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine leadership, safety expertise, and a passion for outdoor recreation to create memorable experiences. As the Waterfront Director, you will coordinate activities, manage staff, and uphold safety standards while fostering a fun and inclusive atmosphere that encourages growth and development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive waterfront programming that promotes safety, teamwork, and skill-building in water-based activities.
  • Supervise and train staff members, including lifeguards, instructors, and camp counselors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and program standards.
  • Oversee daily operations of the waterfront area, including equipment maintenance, safety inspections, and activity scheduling.
  • Enforce all safety policies related to water activities, including first aid procedures, emergency response plans, and child supervision guidelines.
  • Manage participant registration, monitor behavior management strategies, and ensure a positive experience for all children and youth involved.
  • Collaborate with other program staff to integrate waterfront activities with broader camp or educational initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed records of safety drills, incident reports, staff certifications (such as first aid or CPR), and program evaluations.

Qualifications

  • American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding (Including Deep Water)
  • American Red Cross certificate for Waterfront Skills
  • Strong knowledge of water safety protocols, first aid certification, and emergency response procedures.
  • Background in working with children or youth in settings such as camps, daycare centers, or educational programs.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and community partners. Join us in creating a vibrant waterfront environment where safety meets fun! Pay: $750.00 - $950.00 per week
