SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for managing staff, maintaining equipment, and directly interacting with guests to ensure high-quality service. Responsible for daily, weekly, and special event activities (e.g., games, crafts) for guests. Assist the Activities leadership with all operational duties of the department
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee opening and closing procedures and policies are met, expedite workflow and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Assist in set-up and breakdown for special events
- Facilitate activities on a day-to-day basis for all age groups according to the needs and interests of owners and guests, resort requirements, and seasonal opportunities.
- Develop team members through training, feedback and coaching
- Respond to guest and team member needs
- maintain department policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the department, conduct quality inspections of assigned areas, and follow up on any opportunities to improve.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATION:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The ability to bend, lift, stand, carry up to or walk during entire shift and long hours sometimes is required. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle items, lift, push, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or reach with hands and arms. Ability to communicate with guests, employees and managers. Read, write, speak, and understand English. Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations and have strong attention to details.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of experience in activity planning for adults and children
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays and busy seasons as needed
- Must be able to communicate basic resort information to owners and guests
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic, organization and planning skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
