Director of Maintenance
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Maintenance to join our growing team!
The Director of Maintenance will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of all physical aspects of the facility, including service of electrical, plumbing, fire alarm, and mechanical systems; maintenance of equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, SDS, OSHA, EPA, CMS regulations, and fire codes.
Manage a team of maintenance technicians and contractors to complete work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and emergency repairs efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and expenditures.
Identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance processes, procedures, and equipment.
Develop and manage maintenance budgets, including capital expenditures and cost-saving initiatives.
Coordinate engineering contractors/vendors and verify insurance and licenses are current.
Conduct regular inspections of life safety systems, including fire extinguishers, fire alarm systems, and sprinkler systems.
Oversee necessary repairs and maintenance in rooms and common areas, including refurbishment for move-ins.
Ensure exterior property maintenance, including landscaping and trash removal.
Maintain inventory control for all general supplies, parts, and equipment needed for repairs and maintenance.
Qualifications
5 years of supervisory experience in Environmental Services, Plant Operations, or Maintenance within a healthcare facility.
Strong technical knowledge of equipment and infrastructure maintenance.
Thorough understanding of OSHA, NFPA, and EPA regulations as they pertain to facility operation and maintenance in nursing care facilities.
Extensive knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
Ability to identify issues and determine repairs and maintenance schedules for building systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
