What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guard position at Star Detective & Security?
The Event Security Staff is responsible for the safety and security of all guests and employees while providing a safe and enjoyable event for all guests and fellow team members. We are looking for hard working and energetic security personnel to work at various locations in the Chicago Land Area.
Duties and responsibilities
Enforces policies and procedures throughout the facility
Greets and directs guests to seating and services
Monitors entry and exit points to include screening of guest’s bags prior to entering the center
Maintains open and smooth access routes throughout seating and concourse areas
Receives and acts on complaints from patrons according to established policies and procedures
Follows all rules and regulations as outlined in the policies and procedures manual
Aids in direction of orderly evacuation of the building during emergencies.
Event Security Staff may also work one of the following positions: Ticket Taker, Usher and Directional Staff. Additional positions could also be in Guest Services.
Qualifications
Must be 18 years or older
Must have a valid PERC card
Must have 20hr security training record
Excellent customer service skills
Sound judgement
Must be available to work day, evening and weekend hours
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Must be able to stand for a minimum of (5) hours
1-2 years customer service preferred
Position will require frequent interaction with patrons and staff so a clear and loud voice are a must
Friendly and respectful attitude
Background Screening: The selected candidate will be required to a background check and/or fingerprinting.
Salary : $16
