Star Concrete Pumping Co. Inc. is looking for a motivated and dependable Concrete Pump Operator Trainee to join our Tupelo, Mississippi team. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning the concrete pumping industry and building a long-term career with a growing company.
Position Overview
As a Concrete Pump Operator Trainee, you will receive hands-on training to safely operate concrete boom pumps and related equipment. You will work alongside experienced pump operators while learning proper equipment operation, jobsite safety, concrete placement, equipment maintenance, and customer service.
No prior concrete pumping experience is required — we will train the right individual. Concrete pumping, construction, heavy equipment, or CDL experience is highly preferred.
Requirements
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL required
- Clean and safe driving record
- Must be dependable and willing to learn
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work extended hours, early mornings, and occasional weekends as job schedules require
- Must be able to follow safety procedures and work effectively around construction equipment
- Strong work ethic and professional attitude
- Construction or heavy equipment experience is a plus
- Concrete pumping experience is highly desired but not required
Responsibilities
- Learn to safely operate concrete boom pumps and related equipment
- Assist with concrete pumping operations on residential, commercial, and industrial jobsites
- Set up and tear down pumping equipment
- Properly deploy outriggers and position equipment
- Assist with system/line pumping operations
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and jobsite personnel
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized truck and equipment
- Follow all company and jobsite safety policies
