Position Overview

Star Buds Lynnwood is looking for friendly, dependable, and team oriented budtenders to join our growing shop community!

We believe we’re more than just a dispensary. We strive to create a local shop community within Lynnwood where our customers feel welcomed, our team feels supported, and everyone who walks through our doors feels like part of something positive.

As a Budtender, you’ll be an important part of creating that experience. You’ll work alongside your teammates to provide knowledgeable, genuine, and welcoming customer service while helping build lasting relationships with the people in our local community.

We are currently hiring for Friday & Saturday Daytime/Week Day Mid Shift Budtender availability as well as Evening/Night Budtender availability. We’re looking for people who show up for their team, take pride in their work, enjoy connecting with people, and want to contribute to a positive store culture.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every customer with a friendly, positive, and genuine attitude
• Create a welcoming environment where customers feel comfortable asking questions and exploring products
• Build relationships with our customers and become a familiar, trusted part of our local Lynnwood community
• Work together with your teammates to provide an excellent customer experience from start to finish
• Share knowledge about cannabis products, including flower, pre rolls, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
• Listen to customers and make thoughtful product recommendations based on their individual needs and preferences
• Accurately operate the POS system and handle cash transactions
• Verify customer identification and follow all Washington State cannabis regulations
• Keep the sales floor clean, organized, stocked, and welcoming for both customers and team members
• Work together with the team on inventory intake, restocking, product organization, and daily store tasks
• Stay knowledgeable about current products, daily specials, loyalty programs, discounts, and store promotions
• Communicate openly and respectfully with your teammates and management
• Help create a positive team environment by supporting coworkers and stepping in when help is needed
• Complete opening, closing, and daily operational tasks as part of the team
• Follow all company policies, store procedures, and state compliance requirements
• Take pride in representing Star Buds Lynnwood and being a positive presence within our local community

What We’re Looking For

• Must be 21 years old with valid identification
• A friendly, approachable, and positive personality
• Someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and being part of a team
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to support your coworkers
• Someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and follows through
• Ability to work well in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Previous cannabis retail experience is preferred, but we are happy to train the right person
• Cannabis knowledge is a plus, but a willingness to learn is just as important
• Basic math skills and the ability to accurately handle cash transactions
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Willingness to follow all state and company compliance requirements
• Friday & Saturday daytime/mid-shift availability for daytime positions
• Evening/night and weekend availability for nighttime positions
