Duties
- Remove old or damaged auto glass using manual cutting tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols.
- Install new windshields and automotive glass with precision, ensuring proper fitting and sealing for optimal safety and durability.
- Handle glass materials safely, including heavy lifting and proper transportation within the shop or job site.
- Use auto estimating software to assess repair or replacement needs accurately and communicate findings with customers.
- Maintain detailed records of installations, and inspections to ensure quality control and compliance with industry standards.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto glass installation is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques.
- Experience in automotive glass replacement, fitting glass installation, and handling various glass materials.
- Knowledge of auto estimating procedures and customer service skills for effective communication with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate company vehicles responsibly.
- Prior experience working with auto body repair or mechanic roles is a plus, demonstrating versatility in automotive replacement tasks.
